Rendezvous 2012 Location
The location for the "Northern Lights Rendezvous 2012" is Kenora, Ontario Canada. The organizing committee have a set of criteria that they were trying to fulfill. The criteria that the committee was trying to fulfill was:
- A compelling, resort-style destination that was worth the drive.
- A high quality hotel at a reasonable price point.
- An out-of-Winnipeg location - your hosts will not be going home at night!
- A secure, walk-about, sit-about LBC parking lot. This is a key Rendezvous success factor.
- The ability to support all the normal Rendezvous events, plus a few new memorable ones.
- A location within a reasonable day's drive for all our supporting clubs.
Kenora has plenty of recreational activities for adults, children and seniors.Aside from the endless activities on and around Lake of the Woods, the wilderness all over Northwestern Ontario is stunning and can be explored. Exploring Lake of the Woods is worth a visit to Kenora just by itself. With a stunning array of islands and breathtaking scenery, the area is exceptionally beautiful.
